Babies might be tiny; however, they come with a lot – don’t underestimate how much storage you will need!

At such an exciting time of any new mum’s life, decorating the nursery can often seem like just another task to cross off the to-do list.

However, decorating your bundle of joy’s new room can be a chance for creativity and fun!

An excellent way to start is to map out the main pieces of furniture, and then it’s time to work around these and get planning…

Organise:

So you’ve got the cot, rocking chair and chest of drawers set out ready to go – now it’s time to delegate a place for all lovely gifts, toys, etc.

Use storage tubs for popping away extra nappies, wipes and anything else you might need.

You can also work to separate summer and winter clothing to immediately put away anything you won’t need under the cot or even in a spare hallway closet.

Babies might be tiny; however, they come with a lot – don’t underestimate how much storage you will need!

Display:

Rather than just putting your new baby’s toys in any space, creating a shelf to display them in is excellent aesthetically and for convenience. Bookshelves, or floating shelves, are a fantastic addition to every nursery.

Thinking of what is best to store in them, try to mix and match with a few toys, books and décor.

It is a great way to keep everything off the floor and out of reach yet, easily accessible for you.

Decorate:

Finally, the fun part!

Deciding on a theme may be tricky, but once you’ve chosen the feel of the room, everything else should come naturally.

Our Botanical Range is definitely the way to go for the sweet little girl! Featuring a gorgeous pink, orange and green floral print and a cute bunny-shaped wooden light, this Range goes perfectly with pink and white hues.

For the mini dinosaur lover, our Dinosaur Range is totally ‘rawr-some’! Featuring a dinosaur print on a baby blue finish, this Range features an adorable playmat and a soother to tuck into the cot.

Or, for a gender-neutral option, our Pawfect Range is oh-so-cute, with a print featuring pooches on a grey, spotted finish. The print is highly versatile and can be paired with any colour scheme!

Another gender neutral option is our Taronga Range, with a cot comforter featuring wild animals on a bright and fun yellow finish and cute toys and standing animals that are the perfect addition to any nursery.

Sleep:

A lot of your newborn’s time is in the cot, so it’s important to make it as comfortable as possible for a new baby!

Start with some protection with a Mattress Protector. Our Coral Fleece Mattress Protector is incredibly soft, breathable, and waterproof!

Next, our Cot Sheet Sets include a flat and fitted sheet, are comfy and breathable and are antibacterial-perfect for keeping the young ones safe!

Lastly, our Cot Comforters are warm, cosy, and lightweight and come in a range of prints; Botanical, Dinosaur, Pawfect and Taronga.
