Bring on the movie nights and reading by the fire!
Creating a space you can escape into during the colder months doesn’t have to be tricky or expensive. We’ve put together a few simple style hacks to help you warm up your humble home this season.
Layer your bedroom
Your bed is the obvious place to start, and you’ve got to layer, layer, layer!
Start with your underlay, protector and topper, followed by fitted and flat sheets in contrasting colours. Top with a cosy quilt and quilt cover set, then a throw on the end of the bed.
This season, the texture is a must! The Audrey, Florence, Oliver and Winston quilt cover sets will make adding your favourite accessories easy.
You can never have too many pillows and cushions at the head of the bed! More is better here, and they will make the room feel cosy.
Outside of the bed, consider a Baxter Rug on the floor. On a cold winter’s morning, your feet will thank you for it!
Warm up your bathroom
Bathrooms generally feel hard and cold, which is welcome in summer but not so cute when winter arrives. The remedy for starters is warmth and texture on your floor.
Consider laying out Cooper Tufted Mats in your favourite colour, and then stack some complementary Cooper Towels on your towel rail or shelves. Opt for three layers here; a bath towel, a hand towel and a face cloth.
Alternatively, a warm-toned wood like bamboo is another perfect way to warm up your space.
Texturise your sofa
Winter is all about oodles of throws and cushions on the couch, and some varieties bring instant warmth to the room.
A chunky knit option like Meridian or a textured cotton option like Aspen is perfect for this time of the year. Throw in a table lamp like Chester or Arwen for some mood lighting, and you’ll be on to a winning combination.
Cosy kitchen and dining
Chopping and serving boards are a great way to add warmth against hard stone and tiles. Try leaning a few against the wall in your kitchen and add some colourful tea towels into the vignette. Half the fun is experimenting, but rest assured, it will look texturally amazing!
When it comes to the dining room, you can’t beat the Nevada Tablecloth. Available in a selection of neutral colours, they’ll pair perfectly with the Ariel and Shelly Placemats. No better way to cosy up your tabletop.
Hopefully, you’ve got some ideas and inspiration on how you can make memorable winter moments for your interior. Explore our Winter Collection here.
