The sun is shining, lockdown is over, and we’re ready to embrace a renewed vibe at home.

Thankfully three bedding trends for summer have just landed and they’re set to make your boudoir an absolute stunner this season. Get ready to refresh your space with a range of gorgeous options from Lorraine Lea.

1. Tropical prints

Tropical prints

A tough year inside our homes has left us wanting to connect more with nature. We’re eager to embrace an indoor-meets-out vibe that has us feeling connected to the earth again.

We also want to keep it light and bright. It’s summer after all, so let’s have fun with prints! The tropical bedding trend delivers on both fronts; it brings greenery into your home and it showcases dazzling patterns in a range of lush colourways.

Vila

The freshest look of the three, the Vila Quilt Cover Set features a crisp white backdrop adorned with a leafy botanical print. You can keep the rest of your bedroom fairly subdued here and let Vila be the eye-catching star of the show.

Leilani

The playful print you see on the Leilani Quilt Cover Set bodes well for bedrooms that feel bold, but not too serious. Pair it with pink accents and artworks, and don’t be afraid to overlay it with blush cushions and throws from your existing Lorraine Lea collection.

Marlow

If you want to take the tropical trend in a softer yet sophisticated direction, the Marlow Quilt Cover Set has you covered. The muted green-grey print compliments any room to create a tranquil setting, and looks beautiful paired with neutral greys and whites.

2. Warm tones

Warm tones

This year has had us following a series of strict regulations, and now that we’re enjoying freedom again, we’re eager to take a more rule-breaking approach to the decor in our homes.

In the bedroom things are going to get more eclectic this summer. This means the philosophy of using cool tones in hot weather is being flipped on its head. This season, we want warmer shades to dominate, and there are three divine ways to do it.

Edmonton Terracotta

The super-soft feel and geometric patterns are just two of the things that make the Edmonton Terracotta Quilt Cover Set so beautiful, but can we talk about the colour story? The rich terracotta tone is a hard one to bypass and look at how well it sits alongside other earthy shades like beige, rust and mustard.

Mimosa

Did someone say cocktails? The Mimosa Quilt Cover Set is a feast for the senses, featuring a textured detail that gives it interest and dimension. Let it be the one burst of sunshine in your space, or let it play with soft blush accents for a more vibrant visual experience.

Austin Pink

A classic pink, grey and white colour story is never going to go out of style. I love the fact that you can embrace the Austin Pink Quilt Cover Set now, and continue to use it come Autumn and beyond. The stonewash look is such a nice inclusion here too, keeping it relaxed but refined.

3. Standout shapes

Standout shapes

So much time spent looking at blank white walls has left us hungry for visual highs at home. And while we may not be ready to splash coloured paint around, we most definitely want to brighten our bedrooms.

It’s about more than just colour though; we want the boudoir to take us on a visual journey. And the foolproof way to do that is through bedding sporting a range of standout shapes.

Pia

There’s something chic yet playful about the Pia Quilt Cover Set. The black and white colour story feels sophisticated, and yet the yellow spots on the reverse keep things a bit whimsical. And who doesn’t love bedding you can get two distinctly different looks out of?

Lena

A monochromatic approach in the bedroom is always a welcome one, and that’s what makes the Lena Quilt Cover Set so successful. Not only do all of the blue tones interplay together so marvellously, but the crisp white backdrop keeps the set feeling light and summery.

Axel

It’s so nice to see a trend come back around again, and the Aztec vibe of the Axel Quilt Cover Set is a welcome return indeed. This bedding is not only colourful and playful but packed with an element of surprise through its unexpected but impressive fern green piping.
