The bohemian interior decor trend has been a winner for a while now, and for some very obvious reasons. Firstly, it taps into our love of a crisp white interior (who doesn’t love a serene scene?). But it’s also a fave because it’s so effortless and easy to pull off.

As times change, so does the boho trend, so let me talk you through some updated ways you can rock this look at your place.

let’s start with smaller moments

The good news: you don’t have to completely transform your space to achieve a bohemian vibe. You just need to bring in some boho-inspired decor - and it all starts with cushions!

Soft furnishings are the simplest way to revive a tired-looking sofa, and my faves this season are the new Mira, Prabal and Sana designs.

If you keep all three cushions in subtle cream and charcoal tones you can mix the different designs together on a sofa or armchair for a casual boho look. Don’t fuss too much over the styling here either. The more thrown together it is, the more bohemian it’ll be.

a cushion & throw stack is amazing too!

If you’re anything like me, you have oodles of cushions and throws at home. The solution is to style them up in unexpected spaces, so you can enjoy them in multiple pockets of your home.

I love stacking cushions and throws on a bench seat at the end of the bed, inside the front door, or in a spare nook in a study or kids room. The more throws and cushions that feature tassels and embellishments, the more boho your space will become.

Give it a go with throws like Liberty or Calais in soft grey tones. And it doesn’t have to be an all-white affair when it comes to the boho style either. Softer charcoals, creams and beiges will work just as well too.

rock existing Lorraine Lea products

I’m delighted that so many of the existing Lorraine Lea decor pieces fit into the new bohemian trend. A lot of what you already have at home can be mixed in with the latest bedding sets for your bedroom.

Think Carly and Josie wall hangings, Newhaven lamps, Aaron pendants, and Margaret rugs. Even the wonderfully tactile Sigrid and Addison vases in natural and white are great additions to coffee tables and bedsides.

The Astrid Planter Pots are also a wonderful opportunity to let greenery into the pockets of your home. And that is most definitely what bohemian interiors are all about!

rocking boho in the bedroom

I’m crushing on the new Isla quilt cover set, which feels like Taya’s more tactile cousin. It’s clipped jacquard detailing makes it perfect for a soothing white bedroom scene. But if you want to add an element of surprise to your boudoir, you gotta try the ravishing pink hues in the new Dianna quilt cover set.

Pink is not normally something you associate with Bohemian, but that’s what makes it so amazing. Lorraine Lea are ahead of the curve on the trend front - and how good is it to take the boho look in a colourful new direction?

The textural embellishments on this set make it so gorgeous all-year round. Definitely a quilt cover you’ll hold onto for years to come.
